Essential needs like food and water were scarce, similarly medical attention and supplies were scare in the region.  MONUSCO, a United Nations Field mission, main objective was to provide the local people of the DRC with basic essentials, such as first aid.

Project Scope – Custom First Aid Kits

In March of 2013, the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) contracted American Procurement Services to supply and deliver 800 custom First Aid Kits to be distributed throughout the country in an effort to provide the people with basic medical support.

American Procurement Services worked with their manufacturing partners to design custom medical first aid kits. The bag included a custom MONUSCO Logo, pre-packed essentials, and an informational leaflet’s.  Kits construction from durable nylon material, therefore allowing long time use. All internal contents were packed in a water tight packaging to prevent any possible damage, most importantly.

The kits were assembled and shipped directly from APSCO’s manufacturing partner’s warehouse in New Delhi to Entebbe, Uganda. From Entebbe, they were transported via ground inland to Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. As a result, the end users were able to have a basic necessity.
